Class Of Who: The Robots Of Death
An eight-year-old's journey into Classic Who.
The Fan Can: So, what did you think of The Robots Of Death?
Lizzie: I thought it was a little bit good. But there was too much robot killing in it. I didn't like the fact that there were too many people not fighting back. They should be fighting back and they weren't fighting back. And somebody was lying to them. The one with the green face paint on him, and silver. He wasn't very nice.
So, what was it about?
Robots strangling people.
What you make of Tom Baker as the Doctor?
I don't think he was that good. He was a little bit like the Doctor before. He was too like... what does intelligent mean?
It means very clever.
He was too... protective. He should let people die - the ones who weren't very nice. But he was very wise and I liked his scarf. It must keep him warm.
What did you think of the inside of the TARDIS? Looked a bit different, didn't it?
I didn't like it. It didn't look so new, like the new one. It had more wood in it and the other one has more plastic and metal nowadays. But I liked the room they were having their drinks in. That was very pretty.
Did you like Leela?
Yes. She was bold. And I think she's very pretty and cool.
What did you like best about it?
That it was a little bit scary, especially when the robot's eyes went red!
Was there anything you didn't like about it?
I didn't like the Doctor being protective. And I wanted more monsters and less robots.
Was it like the new episodes of Doctor Who, do you think?
No. Tom Baker's not funny and Matt Smith is.
Did you enjoy it?
Would you tell your friends to watch it?
A lot of the people at my school don't really like Doctor Who. Anna likes Doctor Who.
